Company Will Create 34 Jobs and invest $860,000 in new Decatur County location

Nashville, TN -- Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Good Sportsman Marketing (GSM Outdoors) officials announced that the company will locate new operations in Decatur County.

The hunting and sporting goods manufacturing company will invest approximately $860,000 and create 34 new jobs in Parsons.

The Guajiro Solar Plant will prevent the emission of 215,000 tons of CO2 and provide clean energy to more than 120,000 homes in Mexico

State of Hidalgo, Mexico -- Atlas Renewable Energy, a leading clean energy company in Latin America, inaugurated its first solar energy project in Mexico, the Guajiro Solar Plant. The event was attended by the Governor of the State of Hidalgo, Omar Fayad Meneses, and other local government and state officials.

The plant is located in Nopala de Villagrán, in the State of Hidalgo in central Mexico and has a capacity of 129 MWp, which is equivalent to generating approximately 300 GWh annually. Atlas Renewable Energy invested more than USD$118 million, with the participation of Bancomext, who provided long-term financing in the amount of USD$88.5 million.

Indianapolis, IN -- Hoosier Logistics Inc. (Hoosier), a logistics and supply chain management provider, announced plans to grow its operations in Indiana through multiple expansions, scaling its corporate office in Indianapolis and adding its first satellite office in Fort Wayne, more than doubling its Indiana workforce by adding up to 45 new jobs over the next few years.

“As the Crossroads of America and state with the most pass-through highways, Indiana is the prime location for logistics companies like Hoosier to flourish,” said Elaine Bedel, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). “As a state, we won’t stop delivering on our commitment to cultivating a pro-growth, business-friendly environment so job creators like Hoosier can continue driving their business forward in all corners of our state.”

More than $10 million investment creating 210 jobs

Hopkinsville, KY -- OZ Capital, LLC (“OZ Capital”) is pleased to announce its initial Qualified Opportunity Zone investment in  Halcyon Thruput, LLC (“Halcyon”). Halcyon, located in Hopkinsville, KY is a post-harvest, midstream drying and processing facility for the recent federally legalized hemp crop. The business expects bring more than thirty jobs to the Hopkinsville community, and provide essential agricultural infrastructure that will support the needs of local and regional farmers throughout Southwest Kentucky and Northern Tennessee.

Jerome, ID -- Idaho Milk Products is celebrating completion of the $30 million expansion at their Jerome facility that began in October 2018 with a ribbon-cutting planned in September 2019. The site has undergone many changes in recent months, including the new Research and Development (R&D) pilot plant. One of the benefits our customers will enjoy is access to more of our award-winning ingredients as we will increase our processing capacity by 1 million pounds of milk per day.

“We are excited about the capabilities our pilot plant space will provide us to help our customers,” reports Dr. Chenchaiah Marella, VP of Research and Product Development. “With state-of-the-art equipment, a product characterization lab and 1500 sq. ft. of processing area, we will offer our customers faster response time and a higher level of confidence in formulating successful, trending products.”

Shamokin Dam, PA -- The Port of Philadelphia is investing $1,000 for 2019 to support regional marketing efforts of Focus Central Pennsylvania. Known as “PhilaPort,” this independent agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is charged with the management, maintenance, and marketing of port facilities along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania, as well as strategic planning throughout the port district. PhilaPort works with its terminal operators to improve its facilities and to market those facilities to prospective port users around the world. Port cargoes and the activities they generate are responsible for thousands of direct and indirect jobs throughout Pennsylvania.

“Central PA is our heartland, and a key part of our growth strategy,” said Sean Mahoney, Director of Marketing for PhilaPort.  “We want to help Central PA businesses better access global markets.”

Savannah moves record 4.5M TEUs

Auto volumes near 650,000 units

Savannah, GA -- The Port of Savannah moved a record 4.5 million twenty-foot equivalent container units in the fiscal year that ended June 30, an increase of more than 305,000  TEUs or 7.3 percent.
"Our ports are firing on all cylinders," said Governor Brian Kemp. "This success is a testament to the men and women who work throughout our entire supply chain and make a difference for Georgia and the nation every day. Because of their commitment, our factories, farms and logistics providers are creating opportunity and prosperity in every corner of our state."

Indianapolis, IN -- Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett joined executives from eHealth Inc. (NASDAQ: EHTH), a private online health insurance exchange, as the company announced the establishment of its new Eastern U.S. Technology and Operations Headquarters (HQE) in Indianapolis, which is expected to employ up to 500 Hoosiers by the end of 2023.
