New State-of-the-Art Facility in Northern Kentucky Will Serve Mubea Employees and Families

Boone County, KY -- Mubea North America, a Tier One, high-tech advanced manufacturer of lightweight, high-performing automotive parts for the global automotive industry, marked the opening of a new Health & Wellness Center at its Florence, Kentucky manufacturing campus today with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony.

“Our focus is on providing the highest quality, lightweight and best performing components to our customers while being the preferred employer in Northern Kentucky,” said Doug Cain, CEO of Mubea North America. “The new Mubea Health & Wellness Center is just the latest example of our commitment to provide an environment in which our employees are proud to be part of the Mubea family.”

Currently, Mubea has more than 1,200 employees at six facilities in Northern Kentucky. The new Health & Wellness Center, located at 8200 Dixie Highway, will be managed by the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Physicians Group, and operate independently of Mubea North America. The Center will be a full family practice center and equipped to handle occupational injuries with a trauma room, two examining rooms, a pharmacy, nurse station and waiting room. The Center will be staffed by a family practice physician, registered nurse and medical assistant.

“The Health & Wellness Center is the newest component of our Employee Wellness Program,” said Dave Lewis, Director of Administration for Mubea North America. “The Center will offer a full range of health and wellness coaching to improve personal health. Based on the needs of our employees, we may expand operating hours and add specialized services, including physical therapy in the future.” Mubea employees and family members covered under Mubea’s health insurance are eligible to use the Center.

“I want to congratulate Mubea on the opening of its new Health & Wellness Center,” said Gov. Steve Beshear. “Helping to improve the health of Kentuckians has been a mission of my administration. That’s why we launched a program called kyhealthnow, aimed at building on our success of health care reform and improving the health and wellbeing of all Kentuckians. While we work on this effort statewide, I’m proud to see Mubea take such a positive step toward improving the lives of its 1,200 employees here in northern Kentucky.”
