Washington, D.C. -- Hoar Construction, a leading national construction company with more than three-quarters of a century of building experience, announced today the opening of its Washington, D.C. office. The local Hoar team, comprised of seasoned industry veterans, has years of experience working together in the Washington metropolitan area. The Hoar team will focus on high-rise residential, office, hospitality, healthcare, retail and mixed-use projects. Hoar’s first groundbreaking is scheduled for this summer and will be a multi-family residential project in the District of Columbia.
“We were drawn to Washington in large part because of this exceptional team and the opportunities for strong growth in the Washington metro area,” said Rob Burton, President and CEO of Hoar. “We are committed to building something monumental here in the Washington market.”
“The team is made up of principled experts with many decades of experience in the Washington market. We were impressed by the team’s creativity, partnering spirit and their commitment to Hoar’s mission of bettering every community we build in.”
Mike Sloan, Vice President in Hoar’s D.C. office, credits Hoar’s values-based culture and its reputation as a leader within the industry as the main reasons he and his team joined Hoar.
“Hoar’s values-oriented culture and dedication to the communities where they work is unlike anything we’ve seen in Washington,” said Sloan. “We came to Hoar because we share many of those same values -- a commitment to transparency with partners, a top-down culture of safety and responsibility, and a passion for innovation to better the community and the industry.”
