North American bakery to create 90 jobs
Nashville, TN — Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Weston Foods officials announced the company will expand its Maplehurst Bakeries, LLC operations in Wilson County. The bakery company will create 90 new jobs and invest $53 million in Lebanon.
“I want to thank Maplehurst for choosing to expand its operations in Lebanon,” Rolfe said. “Since 2011, TNECD has supported the creation more than 4,000 new jobs in Wilson County and I appreciate Weston Foods for bringing 90 new jobs to Lebanon and for continuing to invest in our state. I look forward to seeing this company continue to succeed in Tennessee and in Wilson County.”

New Zealand ag-tech company to open new office on College of Southern Idaho campus
Twin Falls, ID — CropLogic is pleased to announce it will locate a regional sales office in Twin Falls, ID. CropLogic, a New Zealand company, is an international provider of digital agricultural technology and agronomy services for growers of irrigated crops. The announcement is in partnership with CropLogic, the City of Twin Falls, the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) and Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization (SIEDO).

Having established ourselves in the Columbia Basin, Washington State in early 2017 the take up of our technology in that region has been beyond our expectations. Leading manufacturer of vinyl windows and fiberglass entry systems to invest $6.5 million in Swainsboro facility
Swainsboro, GA — Governor Nathan Deal announced that Wincore Window Company LLC, a leading American manufacturer of premium vinyl windows and fiberglass entry door systems, will create 150 new jobs and invest $6.5 million in a manufacturing facility in Swainsboro.

KPMG LLP to invest more than $30 million to expand in Tysons Corner
Richmond, VA — Governor Ralph Northam announced that KPMG LLP, a U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm, will invest more than $30 million to expand its operations in Fairfax County. Virginia successfully competed against Washington, D.C. for this project, which will create more than 500 new jobs.
“With nearly 2,000 employees across Fairfax County, KPMG is an invaluable contributor to the regional economy, and we are honored that a corporate services provider of this caliber has chosen to grow in Virginia,” said Governor Northam. “This major expansion reinforces the company’s commitment to the Commonwealth and to Northern Virginia’s dependable talent pipeline. Two Six Labs to invest $3.4 million to expand headquarters
Richmond, VA — Governor Ralph Northam announced that Two Six Labs, LLC, a cybersecurity and IT company that develops applications for problem solving in the field, will invest $3.4 million to relocate to a new office and expand its corporate headquarters in Arlington County. Two Six Labs will receive funding from the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) to support the recruitment and training of 87 new employees who will specialize in machine/deep learning, distributed computing, vulnerability research, and reverse engineering at the new facility.
“Virginia has emerged as a national leader in cybersecurity and cutting-edge technology, and we are thrilled that an innovative cybersecurity company like Two Six Labs has chosen Arlington County as the site of its multi-million-dollar investment and will more than double its workforce in the Commonwealth,” said Governor Ralph Northam. “Creating quality jobs in high-growth sectors is one of my top priorities as Governor, and expansions such as this one demonstrate that our efforts are having a positive impact.”

Foreign Direct Investment project to retain 150 jobs and result in 22 new direct, indirect jobs
Shreveport, LA — Governor John Bel Edwards and Ternium USA Inc. President Michael Guhl announced the international steelmaker will invest $14.7 million to expand and upgrade its facility at The Port of Caddo-Bossier in Shreveport.
Through the project, the company will retain 150 existing jobs and create six new direct jobs with an average salary of $65,000, plus benefits. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in 16 new indirect jobs, for a total of 22 new jobs in Louisiana’s Northwest Region.
“Ternium’s expansion at The Port of Caddo-Bossier is a vote of confidence in the effectiveness of our port system, the talent of our people, and the strength of our business economy,” Gov. Edwards said. “The decision to upgrade this facility sends a message that Louisiana is well-positioned for foreign direct investment projects to thrive. Ternium’s reinvestment also secures the retention of 150 jobs and affirms the company’s confidence in Louisiana’s Northwest Region as a place to grow.”

$12.7 million expansion will create 136 jobs
Madison, WI — Zendesk, Inc., a customer engagement platform, is expanding its operations in Madison and establishing a Midwest regional hub—a project expected to create 136 jobs over the next three years.
“Companies have a choice when deciding to expand, and Zendesk’s decision to establish a regional hub in Madison is a testament to Wisconsin’s strong business climate and dedicated workforce,” said Tricia Braun, deputy secretary and chief operating officer of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), who joined company and community leaders today in a grand opening on West Main Street. “This investment will allow Zendesk to position itself for continued growth and success, and at the same time, create family-supporting jobs in the Madison area.”

Texarkana, USA — Governors from both sides of the state line will converge in downtown Texarkana on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 3 p.m. to announce the creation of the AR-TX Regional Economic Development Incorporation (AR-TX REDI)—an organization formed to serve as a catalyst for regional growth and a strengthened economy for southwest Arkansas and northeast Texas. The public is invited to attend the announcement ceremony held on the steps of the United States Post Office and Courthouse.
The historical joint appearance by Governor Greg Abbott (TX) and Governor Asa Hutchinson (AR) will headline the launch of AR-TX REDI, a new nonprofit organization that aims to create jobs and expand the regional economic base by attracting new businesses and industries. AR-TX REDI was created to promote the value of the area’s unique resources along the regional interstate corridors in Bowie (TX) and Miller (AR) Counties. Currently, the area has 106 miles of interstate frontage along the corridors of I-30, I-49, and future I-69 (currently called I-369).

Canadian manufacturer to invest nearly $6.4 million, create 80 jobs in Lawrenceburg
Lawrenceburg, TN — Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Craig Manufacturing Ltd. officials announced that the company will establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Lawrenceburg.
Craig Manufacturing plans to invest nearly $6.4 million and create 80 jobs in Lawrence County during the next five years.
“I’m pleased Craig Manufacturing, a third-generation, family-owned business, has picked Lawrence County, Tennessee as the home of its U.S. operations,” Rolfe said. “Because of exceptional international businesses like Craig Manufacturing, Tennessee continues to be a leading state for foreign direct investment. Blountville, TN – Community leaders and construction vehicles were on site at Tri-Cities Airport setting the stage for the next phase of Aerospace Park site development.
Site construction in Aerospace Park will begin tomorrow and is scheduled to be completed in late fall 2020. Once this phase of construction is complete, Aerospace Park will have a total of 105 acres ready for immediate development.
Aerospace Park already offers 32 acres ready for development. TCAA staff continue to heavily promote the current availability of the site to target industries. The completion of each phase of Aerospace Park development has offered additional promotional benefits and recognition for the site.
Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Auto Parts Manufacturing Mississippi Increases Production in Lee County, Creates 50 Jobs

Jackson, MS — Automotive supplier Auto Parts Manufacturing Mississippi is increasing production in Lee County, investing $100 million and creating 50 jobs.
“Auto Parts Manufacturing Mississippi’s growth in Lee County is strong indicator the state’s automotive industry continues to gain momentum and will be a major economic driver in North Mississippi and throughout the state,” Governor Phil Bryant said.
A Tier 1 automotive supplier located in Guntown, APMM produces stamped auto parts, body weld parts and plastic parts. The company’s expansion accommodates increased production for the 2019 Toyota Corolla, which is produced at Toyota Mississippi in Blue Springs. APMM, which is owned by Toyota Auto Body Co., LTD, is retooling its facility and investing in workforce training.

Fort Wayne, IN — Governor Eric J. Holcomb, Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and Allen County commissioners joined officials of Sweetwater, the No. 1 online retailer of music instruments and audio gear in the U.S., as the company announced plans to significantly expand its operations in Fort Wayne, creating up to 1,009 new jobs by 2022.
"Sweetwater is a strong, Indiana-built company with a proven track record of recruiting and retaining employees from other states, boasting employees from 48 states and seven countries," said Gov. Holcomb. "Sweetwater brings a welcome diversity to the industry base in northeast Indiana and is a driving force in the quality of life in Fort Wayne."
